Travis Tritt will be the music headliner at the Great Texas Balloon Race set for July 28-30 at the East Texas Regional Airport in Longview.
Concerts are scheduled on the nights of July 28 and 29 as part of festivities that will include nightly displays of the specialty shapes balloons taking part and balloon glows.
During the three day-event, some of the top hot-air balloon crews in the nation will take part in competitions. Special activities will take place at the airport for spectators.
East Texas band Teazur will perform at 9:30 p.m. on July 28.
The following night, Darrin Morris Band will take the stage at 6:30 and the Tritt will perform at 9:30 p.m.
Tritt rose to the fame with the release of his 1990 album “Country Club” which produced the hit single with the song of the same name, “Help Me Hold On,” “I’m Gonna Be Somebody” and “Drift Off to Dream.”
He also has had a successful acting career.
Tickets cost $15 on Friday and $20 Saturday. Tickets on the day of the Tritt concert will cost $20. Tickets in advance are available from the Outhouse Tickets website.
Admission to the airport for ballooning events is free on the morning of July 30.
