July 4th Independance Day Activities


Ben Wheeler

Ben Wheeler is ready for another great Independence Day! Once again, they will be rockin’ out at the Pickin’ Porch in downtown Ben Wheeler from 12 noon until fireworks at dusk! Wayland Hicks, The Tuxedo Cats, and The Lone Star Rhythm Rangers will be playing plus much more. Hot dogs and drinks will go on sale for $1 at pm. Ben Wheeler T-shirts will be available all day. This year, they are having a special Flag Raising Ceremony that will include our local Veterans and Boy Scouts at pm. You’ll also be able to get information on Ben Wheeler’s Summer Celebration Event as well as Hog Fest this fall. Bring your lawn chairs and your friends. Free admission.

Canton

4th of July Parade: Celebrating America’s Independence will take place starting at Canton Junior HIgh School, with stage performers starting at 6pm and the parade starting at 6:30pm. There will be a City sponsored firework show at dark on the west side of the First Monday Grounds.

Chandler

Fireworks, hot dogs, barbeque sandwiches and a parade will be featured at Chandler’s Annual Old Fashion Fourth celebration at Winchester Park on July 4th. The concession stand will open at 6 p.m. and the float decorating booth will open at 7 p.m. Children can bring their bicycles, wagons, tricycles, scooters, etc., already decorated or stop by the booth for their patriotic additions. This year’s parade around the park will start at 8 p.m. and prizes will be awarded to the best entries. The annual event is sponsored by the Chandler Historical Society, the city of Chandler, Chandler EDC and the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.

Gun Barrell City

Gun Barrel City July Fest will be held at the Gun Barrel City Amphitheater, 301 Municipal Dr. This is free tp attend and starts at 5pm. For more info go here.

Kilgore

4th of July Celebration will take place at the Kilgore City Park, 6-10pm. Free to attend. There will be food vendors, live bansd, and a free Fireworks Show! For more info go HERE.

Lufkin

Mike Love & Associates 12th Annual Fireworks Extravaganza will be held at Ellen Trout Zoo, 402 Zoo Circle on Loop 287, Lufkin, Texas. Gates open at 10 a.m. and admission is free.

Troup

Fire In The Sky With FBC Troup at First Baptist Church of Troup, 17941 North State Highway 135, Troup, starting at 6:30pm. Everyone is invited to this FREE community-wide event. There will be Bounce Houses, Train Car Rides, Hotdogs, Hamburgers, Message by Pastor Donny Sadler of Woodland Heights Baptist Church, Music by “The Crew”, Fireworks Presented by “The Woodchuck Bomb Squad” Fun for the entire family. Tyler

Freedom Fest @ Bella Vista, Lake Palestine in Tyler will take place 12 noon-10pm. Join a fun filled event on beautiful Lake Palestine. Gates open at 12pm, Tuesday, July 4th, 2017 and close after the Fireworks finale. Pack up your beach towel, floats, sunscreen and swimsuit for this family friendly event including music, food, refreshments, water sports, boat show, kid activities and so much more…B.Y.O.B and celebrate our Independence by honoring all Veterans and Active Service Members. Celebrate America Independence Day Fireworks Show at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will be held 6:30-10:30pm. This is free to attend. Pleasant Hill Baptist Church is located at 13590 TX-110 in Tyler. There will be food vendors, live music by “The Tuxedo Cats,” illusionist, bounce houses, Armed Forces Tribute and more.

June 23rd-24th – “I Love America” – Green Acres Baptist Church Celebration Choir and Orchestra presents a free patriotic program at 7 p.m. on both days in the church, 1607 Troup Highway, Tyler.

July 4th Celebration at Lindsey Park – Gates open at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Lindsey Park for the city’s annual July 4 celebration. The event features bands, concessions and a kids’ zone play area before the fireworks go off.

Winona

Winona Community July 4th Celebration and Fireworks will be held at Winona ISD campus for the annual Winona Community-Wide July 4th Celebration and Fireworks Spectacular, hosted by First Baptist Church of Winona.
