“One Song” at Cherokee Theatre April 29th-30, May 5th-7th

The world premier musical “One Song” will be performed on the Cherokee Civic Theatre’s grand stage April 29, 30, and May 5, 6 & 7. Evening performances start at 7:30pm; Sunday matinees start at 2:00pm.

The historic Cherokee Civic Theatre, West 5th Street in Rusk, is proud to present the world premier original musical, “One Song,” a funny, touching, and all-too true story of students and families of a small-town school who have been given a special assignment: to share their own personal stories with a toy bear that will become a gift for a terminally ill schoolmate. Directed by Minette Bryant and produced by Tim Howell “One Song,” with book, lyrics & music by Minette Bryant; and score composed by Seth Lord, weaves the stories of students of all ages, backgrounds and personal goals into a heartwarming musical tapestry where they realize that, regardless of their differences, they are all alike and share one song.
