January 18th (7:30pm) – “Cinderella” will be presented at The Cowan Center. Rodgers + Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” is the Tony Award®– winning Broadway musical from the creators of The Sound of Music and South Pacific that’s delighting audiences with its contemporary take on this classic tale. This lush production features an incredible orchestra, jaw-dropping transformations, and all the moments you love—the pumpkin, the glass slipper, the masked ball, and more—plus some surprising new twists! February 3rd (7:30pm) – “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder” will be presented at The Cowan Center. Getting away with murder can be so much fun…and there’s no better proof than the hilarious hit show that won the 2014 Tony Award® for Best Musical—“A Gentleman’s Guide To Love & Murder.” As one most gentlemanly NPR critics put it, “I’ve never laughed so hard at a Broadway musical!” “A Gentleman’s Guide” tells the uproarious story of Monty Navarro, an heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession by eliminating the eight pesky relatives who stand in his way… and be done in time for tea. February 12th (7:30pm) – “Million Dollar Quartet” will be presented at The Cowan Center. “Million Dollar Quartet” is the smash hit Broadway musical, inspired by the true story of the famed recording session that brought together rock ‘n roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. On December 4th, 1956, these four young musicians were gathered together by Sam Phillips, the “Father of Rock ‘n Roll” at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions of all time. “Million Dollar Quartet” timeless hits include “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “That’s All Right,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “I Walk the Line,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Hound Dog,” and more. February 27th (7:30pm) – “Complexions: Bach to Bowie” will be presented at The Cowan Center. Combining the best of athleticism, lyricism, technical training, and experience, “Complexions” awakens audiences to a new, exciting genre with their singular approach of reinventing dance through a groundbreaking mix of methods, styles, and cultures. This innovative dance company is at it again with their latest creation “Bach to Bowie.” The Bowie part of the evening is entitled “Star Dust” and will feature, as you might expect, daredevil dancing, a hip soundtrack, glam rock costumes, and innovative stagecraft. March 6th (7:30pm) – “Motown The Musical” will be presented at The Cowan Center. It began as one man’s story… became everyone’s music… and is now a Broadway musical. “Motown The Musical” is the true American Dream story of Motown founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson, and many more. Featuring classic songs such as “My Girl” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” experience the story behind the music in the record-breaking smash hit “Motown The Musical!” Sales begin February 5th. March 9th (12:30pm and 2:30pm) – “Alice In Wonderland” will be presented at The Cowan Center. Finally, an Alice for our time! It’s a new take on a favorite classic. This all-new production finds a precocious girl, Alice, falling into a fantastic world of extravagant characters where little makes sense. To find her way, Alice charts a topsy-turvy course where every turn means a new adventure. This breathtaking 21st-century staging uses cameras, projections, and puppets to help tell the story of Alice’s journey through Wonderland. This is ideal for Grades 2-6. All tickets are $4.
April 3rd (7:30pm) – Kimberly Guilfoyle will be presented at the Cowan Center. Kimberly Guilfoyle joined FOX News Channel as a legal analyst in 2006, hosting the one-hour crime-based program, “The Lineup.” She currently co-hosts Fox’s primetime show “The Five” — a roundtable ensemble of FOX personalities who discuss, debate, and debunk news stories, controversies, and issues of the day. Guilfoyle also appears as a legal and political analyst on “Hannity,” and is part of a rotating panel on “Outnumbered.” Sales begin March 5th. A Dinner and Post-Lecture Reception will be held, sponsored by Austin Bank. Tickets are $17-$37.
April 21st (7:30pm) – “The Wizard of Oz” will be presented at the Cowan Center. There truly is no place like home as the greatest family musical of all time, “The Wizard of Oz” twists its way into the Cowan Center! The entire family will be captivated as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road and beyond with Dorothy, Toto, and their friends the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man, and the Scarecrow in this lavish production, featuring breathtaking special effects, dazzling choreography, and classic songs. Sales begin March 26th. Tickets are $37-$72.
May 10th (7:30pm) – The Celtic Women will be presented at the Cowan Center. They’ve sold more than ten million albums and three million tickets. Now, the global phenomenon known as Celtic Woman is set to embark on another world tour, which will include a stop in Tyler. It all started on a winter Dublin night in 2004. The idea was conceived to create a musical ensemble featuring a selection of exceptional classically and traditionally trained Irish female musicians. Sales begin April 9th. Tickets are $42-$77.
