Glass Recreation Center is a community center owned and operated by the City of Tyler and housed under the Tyler Parks and Recreation Department. The multi-use facility includes a weight room, fitness classes, basketball and volleyball courts and leagues, arts and crafts room, computer lab, rental areas, annual special events, sidewalk track around Woldert pond and is home to the Keep Tyler Beautiful Native Plant Garden. Step Aerobics
Classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. Fees: $20 per month or $5 per session. You must be at least 17 years of age to participate.
Pickleball
Open play times are on Mondays from 7 to 9:30 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Fee for this is $5 per day or free with a $30 annual membership.
Volleyball
Open play times are on Wednesdays from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Fee for this is $5 per day or free with a $30 annual membership.
Spring Break Camp
Glass Recreation Center will be offering a Spring Break Camp for kids ages six to 12. The camp will take place from March 13 through 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The cost of the camp is $50 per youth. Space is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Silver Sneakers
Did you know anyone 65 and better can get a FREE membership at Glass Recreation Center through the Silver Sneakers program?
