TJC April Arts Festival – Back in the Saddle Again

stretford tyler tx

Tyler Junior College, the Tyler Museum of Art, and others are bringing back their spring arts festival packed with happenings and performances collaborating between multiple entities the whole month of April.

The festival is a celebration of Tyler’s Cultural Arts District and the dynamic arts programs at TJC providing rich experiences. This festival is a collaboration of Art Club, Art Department, Academy of Dance, The Bell Tower Arts Journal, Communications Studies Department, Dance Department, The Drumbeat Student Media, English Department, History and Geography Department, International and Passport Day, Las Mascaras, Music Department, Presidential Honors Program, Speech and Debate Team, Sunshine Fun Time Cult, Theatre Department, The Tyler Museum of Art, and the Webb Historical Society.

Whether it’s your first time in the Cultural Arts District or you’ve been visiting us for years, there will be something new for everyone. The Annual Arts Festival germinated from the idea of Dr. Linda Gary (former TJC Dean of Humanities, Communications, and Fine Arts) a few years ago.

Something to the effect of since we have all these wonderful departments conducting all these fantastic activities, coordinating the things we are already doing will allow us to better share them with students and our East Texas community.

There are some entertaining, cultural, enlightening events taking place right here. Find the ones you are interested in or check them all out and come celebrate the arts.
