This is your chance to showcase your film at one of East Texas’ most exciting events!

Tyler Film Fest is a celebration of storytelling through film in East Texas. We accept and show short films from all around the world, but have a special fondness for local independent works.

The Tyler Film Festival began in 2011 after the City re-opened its home venue, Liberty Hall Theatre. Our festival is focused on encouraging filmmakers from across the globe and introducing them to cinephiles of all ages and creeds. TFF is a laid-back and film-focused festival.

Each night, we will have a Q&A with our judges and attending filmmakers. Stick around after the movie showings to vote for your favorite film to win Audience Favorite.

At the end of Night 3, we will announce our winners!

Students get in for free. If you are in college, please bring your student ID.

The 2025 festival award categories include:

Jury Award/Best of the Festival – $1,000 and trophy
Best Student Film – $500 and trophy
Best Cinematography – $500 and trophy
Best Actress – $200 and trophy
Best Actor – $200 and trophy
Best Young Actor – $200 and trophy
Film with the Biggest Heart – Trophy
Funniest of the Fest – Trophy
Audience Favorite – Trophy

The festival ticketing is flexible in its packaging so attendees can customize their experience.

The 2025 festival will be held in person at the Liberty Hall Theater in Downtown Tyler. Tickets are available for each night, or film lovers can purchase a three-day pass.
