Early Childhood Activities

Playday | March 13 from 10:30 a.m. – Noon | Come-and-Go | Auditorium

For babies to preschoolers, families can play with toys, make art, and connect with other families.

 

Storytime | Auditorium

For babies to preschoolers: listen to stories read aloud, sing songs, and enjoy playtime, sensory play, and crafts.

  • Baby Storytime: Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • Toddler Storytime: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • Preschool Storytime: Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

 

Elementary, Tween, and Teen Activities

Spring Break Activities | March 10-14 at 3 p.m. | Auditorium

For Kindergarten and up: kids can join us through Spring Break week for fun activities:

  • Tuesday, March 10 at 3 p.m. – Fizz Kaboom Experiment
  • Wednesday, March 11 at 3 p.m. – Tech Take-Apart
  • Thursday, March 12 at 3 p.m. – Lego Boat Race
  • Saturday, March 14 at 3 p.m. – Open Makerspace

 

Art 4 Fun | March 19 at 4 p.m. | Makerspace

For Grades 2-12: Come explore Huichol Yarn Art. Register on our website at TylerLibrary.com. Registration required.

 

Dungeons and Dragons Club | First and Third Tuesday at 5 p.m. | Auditorium

For Grades 8-12: tweens and teens can sign up at TylerLibrary.com to join the quest.

 

Homeschool Libratory | March 27 at 2 p.m. | Makerspace

For Grades K-12: Learn about “The Science of Sound”.

 

All Age Youth Activities

Each month, our Rover Cart features a STEAM-oriented activity for kids to do when they visit the Library. March will feature a Popsicle Stick Puzzle craft.

 

Scavenger Hunt | All March

Find all the hidden Leprechaun treasures in the Juvenile section, and earn a reward!

 

 

Adult Activities

Horror Book Club | March 2 at 5:30 p.m. | Makerspace ( Third Floor)

March’s discussion will be on “Misery” by Stephen King.

 

Wellness Wednesday | First and Third Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)

On March 4, join for a session about Intention Setting. March 18, learn about Health and Fitness tips from UT Health.

 

Great Decisions | Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. | Auditorium

This lecture series follows presentations from the Foreign Policy Association on hot-button topics. This program kicked off on Feb. 20 and will continue for eight weeks. There will be no meeting on March 20. Find speaker information at TylerLibrary.com.

 

Master Gardeners | Third Friday Every Month at Noon | Auditorium

For Adults: The ever-popular lecture series has returned! Join us for Salsa 101, as Dr. Greg Grant teaches us about growing tomatoes and peppers in East Texas.

Chapters and Choices Book Club | Last Saturday of the Month at 11 a.m. | Makerspace

The theme for March is “The Book Was Better Than the Movie.”

 

Senior Games | Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)

Bunco is a fun, fast-paced dice game that’s easy to learn and great for socializing. Players roll dice in small groups, earn points by matching numbers, and rotate tables throughout the game, making it a lively and engaging activity for Senior Games participants.

For Adults: Share and connect with fellow poets.

 

Stitchcraft Society | First and Third Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)

Come with your needlework supplies and stitch while meeting fellow Library enthusiasts! An optional portion will be to read a cozy mystery each month and share your thoughts. Please note that the Library cannot store supplies or projects from this program. Patrons will have to bring their supplies and take them home.
