Pumpkin Wonderland is back October 1-31, 2026, and this year marks the fifth anniversary of one of Jacksonville’s most colorful fall traditions. With thousands of pumpkins, gourds, and seasonal plants filling downtown, it is an easy way to add a little fall magic to your October plans.

The centerpiece is the Pumpkin House, surrounded by seasonal vignettes and photo ready backdrops created for family pictures, festive selfies, and plenty of “just one more” photos of the kids. Every corner offers something new to see, from classic autumn colors to creative displays filled with personality.

A Free Fall Activity for the Whole Family

One of the best things about Pumpkin Wonderland is that you don’t have to squeeze it into one busy festival weekend. The display is open every day from sunup to sundown throughout October, giving visitors plenty of opportunities to stop by.

Admission is free, making it a great choice for families, couples, friends, and anyone searching for fun fall activities in East Texas. Bring the kids, meet up with friends, plan a fall date, or invite the grandparents along for an afternoon in downtown Jacksonville.

The display is located at 200 E. Commerce Street in downtown Jacksonville, Texas.

Make a Day of It in Downtown Jacksonville

After exploring Pumpkin Wonderland and taking plenty of pictures, stick around and enjoy more of downtown Jacksonville. Browse the locally owned boutiques, stop for lunch or a sweet treat, and explore the historic downtown area.

Pumpkin Wonderland makes a fun centerpiece for a fall day trip. It’s close enough for a quick visit, but there is plenty nearby to turn the outing into a full afternoon of shopping, dining, and exploring.

If photos are part of your plan, consider visiting earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon when the light is softer. Coordinating fall outfits is optional, but with this many pumpkins in one place, you may be glad you did!

Five Years of Creativity and Community

Pumpkin Wonderland is designed, created, and installed by volunteers with the Jacksonville Community Arts Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building connection through art and culture.

Transforming downtown with thousands of pumpkins is no small task, and every part of the display reflects the creativity and care of local volunteers. Over the past five years, Pumpkin Wonderland has grown into a fall destination that welcomes visitors from Jacksonville and across East Texas.

Whether this will be your first visit or Pumpkin Wonderland is already part of your family’s fall traditions, October is the perfect time to head to Jacksonville to see this GOURDGEOUS.
