Gallery Main Street opens call for artists for 2024 Featured Artist exhibit
Calling all Artists! Gallery Main Street is looking for its next featured artist for the 2024 Featured Artist exhibit.
The entry deadline is midnight on Friday, Dec. 22. The artist selected will be announced on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024.
Artists interested in participating should visit www.DowntownTylerArts.com, where they can find all the information needed, including how to register to become a smarter entry user. All those wanting to participate will need to become a smarter entry user prior to the artist’s first submission. The entry process is digital and allows artists to submit up to three pieces to showcase their style, with an entry fee of $30.
Spanning eight weeks, the selected artist will have the opportunity to display their curated collection in a solo or collaborative show in Gallery Main Street’s beautiful open space gallery. The featured artist will be promoted across all of Main Street’s social media platforms and the Downtown Tyler website. In addition, Gallery Main Street will print, post and distribute promotional material highlighting the artist’s collection for the duration of the exhibit.
The artist and their work will be celebrated at an opening reception held on Nov. 8, 2024 and the exhibit will run through Jan. 6, 2024.
Gallery Main Street is a project of the City of Tyler Main Street Department in cooperation with the volunteers of the Downtown Tyler Arts Coalition.
