How to Cancel Nexera Subscription: A Simple Guide

Cancelling a subscription should take two minutes, and usually does - once you know which of three places to look. The confusion with most apps isn't the process itself but working out where the payment actually came from, because that determines where it gets stopped.

This guide covers each route. If you'd rather cancel Nexera subscription access straight away, start by checking where you paid: on the website, through the App Store, or through Google Play.

First, Work Out Where You Subscribed

This step saves the most time. A subscription bought through an app store can only be cancelled through that store - not in the app, and not by contacting the developer. A subscription bought on the website is managed through the account, not the store.

If you're unsure, check the email receipt. A receipt from Apple or Google means the purchase went through that store. A receipt from the service itself, or a charge on a card statement, points to the website.

One thing that applies everywhere: deleting the app from your phone does not cancel anything. The subscription continues and so does the billing, because the two aren't connected.

Cancelling a Web Subscription

If you signed up through the website, there are three ways to stop auto-renewal:

  1. Open your account profile in the app and select the option to cancel the subscription.
  2. Or go to the website, sign in, open your account profile and cancel from there.
  3. Or email the support address listed on the site, including the email address linked to your account and a clear request to cancel.

Any one of these is enough - you don't need to do all three. After cancelling, the subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, and access continues until that date.

Cancelling Through the App Store or Google Play

Store purchases are managed entirely by the store.

On iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  3. Select Subscriptions.
  4. Find Nexera in the list.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

On Android:

  1. Open the Google Play app.
  2. Tap your profile picture.
  3. Select Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  4. Find Nexera in the list.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription, choose a reason and confirm.

In both cases the subscription list will then show the date your access ends, which is a useful way to confirm the cancellation actually went through.

If the subscription isn't in the list, the purchase was probably made with a different Apple ID or Google Account, or directly on the website.

The Timing Rule Worth Knowing

Cancel at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends. Leave it later than that and the renewal has already been processed, which means a charge for the next period even though you cancelled.

This isn't a Nexera rule - it's how Apple and Google handle subscription renewals, and it applies across both stores. The practical takeaway is the same regardless: if you've decided to stop, do it a day or two before the renewal date rather than the morning of.

A couple of related points that catch people out:

  • Cancelling isn't the same as deleting your account. Cancelling stops future charges and leaves the account active until the period ends. Deleting the account is a separate request about your personal data, and it does not stop billing on its own.
  • If you have an additional subscription alongside the main one, cancelling the main plan also stops the recurring add-on. It doesn't work the other way round - cancelling the add-on leaves the main plan running.
  • Cancelling and refunding are different things. Stopping auto-renewal doesn't return money already charged. A refund is a separate request, with its own conditions depending on where you paid.

Once cancelled, you keep access for the rest of the period you've already paid for. There's no reason to cancel early in a period and lose the remaining time - the cancellation takes effect at the end either way, so the only deadline that matters is that 24-hour window before renewal.
