The City of Tyler will host the annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration at Lindsey Park on Thursday, July 4. The fun kicks off at 4 p.m. and the fireworks show will begin after dark (around 9:15 p.m.) The park gate, located off of Spur 364, will officially open at 2 p.m. and admission is free.
*There is a rainout date set for Saturday, July 6.
Brandon Bamburg will perform beginning about 5:30 p.m.
Attendees are asked to arrive early for prime parking. Carpooling is highly recommended to help alleviate traffic congestion. Parking will be on a first come, first serve basis.
For those parking on the street, we ask you please turn off your vehicles.
Officers will assist in directing traffic and parking. Please heed all directions from officers and City Staff when entering and exiting the park.
Tyler Transit buses will also be available, running every 25 to 30 minutes to transport attendees to the park at no charge from the following locations:
• Harvey Hall, 2000 W. Front St.
• Tyler Junior College West Campus, 1530 S SW Loop 323
• Tyler Independent School District, 1319 Earl Campbell Pkwy.
Please note, sewer lines are being installed along Greenbriar Road so there will be limited street parking available.
The Kids’ Zone and concessions will begin at 4 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m. Live entertainment will include music from the Groove Slaves.
To prepare for this event, Lindsey Park will be closed to the public on July 4 until 2 p.m. Alcohol, smoking and private fireworks are prohibited in the park.
