October 13th – 2018 Corkscrew Half Marathon will be held at Kiepersol Winery, 21508 Merlot Ln., in Bullard. Starting and ending at Kiepersol’s Winery and Distillery, this race will offer serious runners a great, paved course and 5K and 10K runners will get a more scenic run through the vineyards, with about 50/50 of pavement and trail. Produced by a local company, this run works to keep their focus on staying local by promoting and supporting small business owners as well as organizations who pour both love and finances back into our communities. October 13th – Harvest Hustle 5K will be held at The Cannery, 75 Miranda Lambert Way, Lindale, as part of the annual Countryfest Festival. A portion of the proceeds will benefit David Powell Food Pantry, LISD Foundation, Lindale Fire Department, and Lindale Library. To register go to itri365.com.
October 13th – Van Oil Festival and 5K Charity Run – Sponsored by Camp Gladiator-Van in conjunction with the 2018 Van Oil Festival, all profits will be donated to the East Texas Food Bank. October 20th – “Sharon’s “Ride.Run.Walk” Seize One Day” will be held with a bike ride, 5K and 1K at The Boulders at Lake Tyler, 16362 McElroy Rd., Whitehouse. Register as a bike rider and enjoy the scenic Lake Tyler OR run/walk a challenging 5K! Register at sharonsride.org or itri365.com.
October 26th – Monster Dash 10K and 5K Courses – Join this fun, family-friendly night of running and Halloween spooks! This 5K will feature the best swag, a costume contest, and more. This race is a family-friendly opportunity to kick off Halloween! There will be food trucks, vendor booths, and a costume contest. The race will take runners through Rose Rudman trails. November 3rd-4th – Tyler Heart Walk and 5K Red Carpet Run – Taking place Downtown Tyler on the Square, the 2018 Tyler Heart Walk & 5K Red Carpet Run is designed to engage Tyler’s businesses, corporations, and community at large in a fun-filled day of activity that promotes heart health through physical activity, friendly competition, volunteerism and fundraising. November 3rd – Nevada’s Revenge Marathon Mountain Bike Event – This is an endurance mountain bike event being held at Lindsey Park. Juniors and kids under 10 ride Saturday with a 5 mile and 15 mile option. There will be a 30 and 60 mile courses race on Sunday. Register at tri365.com.
November 10th – Salute to Service 5K will be held at Whitehouse City Park, 309 E. Main St., Whitehouse, with opening ceremonies beginning at 7:45am and the race beginning at 8am. This is the third annual event presented by Ameri-Tex Services. All proceeds will be benefiting a future Veterans Monument inspired by local war hero, SSG Nelson D. Trent.
November 22nd – Tyler Turkey Trot – Starting at Raquet & Jog in Tyler, this fun race is a great way to both get in the holiday spirit and burn some off some of those holiday calories. It is family-friendly, and its goal is to bring families together on Thanksgiving Day for fun, fitness, and charity. To register go to tylerturkeytrot.com.
December 2nd – 2018 Tyler Half Marathon & 5K – This event will give athletes a tour unlike any other through Tyler. The event will start and finish from TB Butler Fountain Square in the center of Downtown Tyler. The Pearl Harbor Remembrance 5K run and 1 mile fun run will benefit the US Sea Cadets Tyler Joint Force Battalion.
