4-6pm: Nature Wonderland Hike – A Christmastime sunset stroll. Join for a stroll around Tyler State Park Lake as the sun goes down and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of winter. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, bring water and be ready for a 2 mile hike.
5-9pm: A Pineywoods Christmas Lighted Drive-Thru – Take a break from the Holidays rush and drive through the Cedar Point, Lakeview and Big Pine Camping Loops and enjoy a Pineywoods Christmas in lights. Make sure to visit the Park Store for refreshments and shop for unique gifts. Campers staying for this event are encouraged to decorate their sites.
At Tyler State Park you can boat, fish, swim in the lake, hike, mountain bike, picnic, geocache, camp, birdwatch, and study nature. Tyler State Park is a place year-round to explore nature and experience the beauty of east Texas.
Tyler State Park is located at 789 Park Road 16, Tyler. All events are free with a fee paid for admission into the park. Adults are $6 daily and children 12 years and under are free.
