It’s always an absolute pleasure stopping by Great Harvest Bread Co. Tyler, TX. Honestly, it’s one of the few places where carbs feel like a good thing.
I was out doing a bit of shopping (buying stuff I probably don’t need) and started to work up an appetite.
That’s when I remembered I was dangerously close to one of my favorite little spots in Tyler. It was basically fate.

Now, normally I go in on a mission. Tuna Melt or bust. If you’ve had it, then you already know. Unfortunately, their ovens were on strike today (they were having some slight issues), which meant no Tuna Melt

So, I ventured into uncharted territory and went with the Turkey Goddess.
Let me just say it lived up to its divine name. It came with their house-made green goddess dressing, which I’m pretty sure is made with magic and possibly a drop of unicorn tears.
Drizzled over turkey breast and creamy havarti, plus all the fixings. I also added a little mayo because I like to live dangerously.
No exaggeration, it’s my new favorite sandwich from Great Harvest.
That green goddess dressing was absolutely phenomenal. I’d buy it by the gallon if I could (hint hint Laura).
Everything tasted fresh like it had just been blessed by the sandwich gods themselves. Pro tip: get it on sourdough and thank me later.

If you have a sweet tooth, then this is where you need to be. Two of my favorite desserts/sweets in Tyler come from Great Harvest. The cinnamon chip bread pudding and the red, white, and blueberry bread pudding. Absolutely to die for.
If you haven’t stopped by yet, do yourself a favor. Your stomach and your soul will thank you. Keep up the amazing work Laura Jones. You and your awesome team are baking up happiness one loaf at a time.
Great Harvest is located at 6621 S Broadway Ave #100, Tyler, TX 75703.
