At Tyler State Park you can boat, fish, swim in the lake, hike, mountain bike, picnic, geocache, camp, birdwatch, and study nature. Tyler State Park is a place year-round to explore nature and experience the beauty of east Texas.
Tyler State Park is located at 789 Park Road 16, Tyler. All events are free with a fee paid for admission into the park. Adults are $6 daily and children 12 years and under are free. November 29th
9am-12 noon: 12th Annual “Walk Off the Bird” Bird Walk – Spend Black Friday with our feathered friends and walk off that Thanksgiving feast while enjoying the birdlife of the East Texas Pineywoods. Bring your binoculars, good walking shoes, and dress for the weather. Meet at the Silver Canoe Park Store.
2-3pm: Fall in the Savannah – Autumn in the Post Oak Savannah is full of the beautiful fall colors of Tyler State Park’s other ecoregion Enjoy a 1/3 mile walk and see the beauty. More than just the trees are changing in this wooded grassland. Meet at the Blackjack Nature Trail.
